Service Description

Our Basic EKG class uses engaging exercises to teach students not only the “how” but also the “why” of Electrocardiography. Students will learn EKG interpretation by key focus areas, such as PR interval, QRS width, appearance of waves, and more. In addition, students will learn pharmacology for abnormal ECG rhythms. This course also includes a discussion on electrical cardioversion, defibrillation, and pacing. All in all, students will learn to identify sinus, atrial, junctional, and ventricular arrhythmias. Our Basic EKG Interpretation course also includes extensive rhythm strip practice to build competency. Indeed, any ECG class can be extremely overwhelming. Nonetheless, a healthcare provider’s basic skill should include EKG interpretation.
